There are thousands of rescue animals waiting in shelters, hoping every day to be welcomed into their forever homes, and to get a second chance at life.
Steve Greig has adopted more than 10 dogs and several farm animals — all of whom are seniors!

Currently, his home in Denver, Colorado, houses 10 dogs, a pig named “Bikini” who thinks she’s a dog, two chickens, two ducks, two pigeons, a couple of cats (who live in the garage and are on mouse duty), a rabbit and a pond full of fishes

“I grew up with a lot of pets,” Greig told The Dodo. “Both my parents were animal lovers and they pretty much always let me have whatever I wanted as long as I could take care of it.”

Greig has made it his mission to adopt the “least adoptable” animal at the shelter.

“A normal day for me is getting up at 5 in the morning and making breakfast for all of them, which, you know, there’s 10 [dogs] and most of of them have different diets,” he said.Greig’s weekends are filled with grooming appointments or trips to the vet, all depending on which pet needs what.
“It’s just fulfilling knowing that these guys are happy and loved and well taken care of,” he said. “It make my days worthwhile.”

Buongiorno amici positivi, iniziamo la nostra giornata con una bella storia dagli Stati Uniti . Ci sono migliaia di animali in attesa di soccorso nei rifugi , che ogni giorno sperano essere adottati per ottenere una seconda possibilità di vita . Steve Greig ha adottato più di 10 cani e diversi animali da fattoria – tutti dei quali sono anziani !
Attualmente , la sua casa a Denver, Colorado , ospita 10 cani , un maiale di nome ” Bikini” che pensa di essere un cane , due galline , due anatre, due piccioni , un paio di gatti ( che vivono in garage e che sono di turno per cacciare i topi ) , un coniglio e uno stagno pieno di pesci.
Sono cresciuto con un sacco di animali domestici , ” ha dichiarato Greig al The Dodo . ” Entrambi i miei genitori erano amanti degli animali e hanno lasciato praticamente sempre avere tutto quello che volevo finché a patto che me ne prendessi cura.
E` la missione di Greg adottare gli animali piu difficili da adottare per dargli una seconda possibilita`.
Una giornata normale per me è alzarsi alle 5 del mattino e preparare la colazione per tutti loro , che , si sa , hanno diverse diete , ” .I fine settimana sono pieni di appuntamenti dal veterinario o per grooming sessions, il tutto a seconda di quale animale domestico ha bisogno .
